This year the theme for Women’s History Month goes hand in hand with Black History Month. It is Valiant Women and the Vote. I have felt equally proud, sad, disappointed and excited while learning about voting rights for women. I learned about the women who persisted, who stood for equality and intersectionality. I also learned about the women who felt superior and wanted to have voting rights before African American men. They disenfranchised themselves from the group in order to fight for their superiority. I learned about men like Fredrick Douglas who faught for women’s voting rights.
Here are the lesson plans for Women’s History Month 2020
This March, lets celebrate the women who have paved the way for us! Lets celebrate our current boss babes and the future leaders of America!
